Hyderabad: As part of Operation Muskan -VII, eight children including girls were rescued from various places across Rachakonda Police Commissionerate here on Tuesday.
The She Team from Bhongir division along with the District Child Protection Unit officials rescued a minor boy who was found begging along with his mother in Bhongir Rural. The duo was counselled and handed over to the Child Welfare Committee, Bhongir.
As part of the drive at Ibrahimpatnam, officials rescued three minor boys who were working at a shopping mall and handed over to their parents. The management was counseled and warned of legal action.
In another incident, the She Team of Choutuppal division along with the Child Welfare Department officials rescued four minor girls, who were working in an industry at Damera village, under hazardous conditions. The children were handed over to the CWC, Bhongir and a notice was issued to the industry owner.
As part of Operation Muskaan, missing children are traced, and those forced into child labour, bonded labour, begging and trafficked are rescued and handed over to their parents and family or to rescue homes.
