Hyderabad: 81 tolas of gold, Rs 14.75 lakh stolen from house in Begumpet

HYDERABAD: In a major theft, gold ornaments and cash were reportedly stolen from a house in Uma Nagar, Begumpet.

According to the police, the theft took place at the residence of Srinath Naidu, where 81 tolas of gold ornaments and Rs 14.75 lakh in cash kept in a cupboard were found missing by the homeowner. He approached the police and lodged a complaint.

The police registered a case and launched an investigation. Three individuals working as domestic staff at the house were taken into custody for questioning. The police suspect that the valuables were stolen over a period of time.
