Hyderabad: A video boot camp ‘Clinic to Camera’ for doctors

Hyderabad: To curb the pandemic of fake health news on social media and encourage qualified doctors to share their authentic views and medical advice without inhibition in front of a camera, an orthodontist from Hyderabad is conducting video-boot camps titled ‘Clinic to Camera’ for caregivers.
“Though some young doctors in India are creating content, the older and more experienced doctors who are above 45 years, are unable to do so. Moreover, there is a need to generate Indian content, as most of the online medical content is dominated by physicians from the West,” Dr Pavitra said.
In a press release, Dr Mani Pavitra said that the video boot camp also serves as a tool to empower doctors to confidently step in front of the camera and share their voice, story, expertise, and empathy with the world.
Recently, a boot camp for doctors was held in which close to 20 doctors from across India, drawn from and wide spectrum of specialisations participated. The boot camp tackles the fear, mindset, and lack of know-how that have held back countless doctors from going digital. It also covers camera confidence and storytelling for doctors, basics of lighting, framing, and sound (without expensive gear), how to create trust-building content in 60 seconds and compliance and ethics in video communication for medical professionals.
