Hyderabad: Demanding action against degree colleges that have been charging full tuition fees in violation of the regulations in the ongoing DOST 2025 admissions, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a protest at the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) here on Monday.
Hundreds of students gathered in a show of solidarity, sitting peacefully for over an hour and raising their voices against the unlawful fee practices.
The protesters wanted TGCHE Chairman Prof V Balakista Reddy to directly address their grievances and initiate strict action against the erring colleges.
ABVP leaders emphasized the need for accountability and transparency in the education sector. The student organisation warned that it would intensify protests if the authorities concerned fail to address the issue at the earliest.
