Hyderabad: ACB nabs GHMC official for demanding bribe of Rs 70,000
The bribe was recovered from him and he was arrested and produced before the ACB for remanding in judicial custody.

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught V Srinivas, the Deputy Director, Urban Bio-Diversity, GHMC, Serilingampally Zone, for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 70,000 at his office in Charminar on Tuesday.
ACB officials said Srinivas allegedly demanded bribe of Rs 2.2 lakh from the complainant as a reward for clearing the check-measured bills for the supply of plant material to the Urban Bio Diversity Wing, GHMC. After negotiation, he accepted Rs 70,000.
The bribe was recovered from him and he was arrested and produced before the ACB for remanding in judicial custody.
