Hyderabad: The Army College of Dental Sciences (ACDS) hosted its 15th Graduation Ceremony for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) batch 2015 and 2016 and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) Batch 2017 and 2018, on Saturday. A total of 27 students were awarded the degree of Masters in Dentistry, while 80 students received bachelor degrees in dental surgery.

Major General Ranjeet Singh Manral, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA) and Chairman ACDS who was the chief guest for the event, praised the graduating students for the hard work put in by them over the years.


The ‘Chief of Army Staff Rolling Trophy’ for best all-round student based on the performance in academics, sports and extra-curricular activities was awarded to Dr Ichita Joshi, BDS 2015 batch and ‘General Officer Commanding-in Chief Rolling Trophy’ for best BDS student in academics went to Dr Sugam Kumar, from the BDS batch 2015.

For the 2016 batch, Dr Manisha Kumari from the BDS batch 2016 bagged ‘Chief of Army Staff Rolling Trophy’ and the ‘General Officer Commanding-in Chief Rolling Trophy” went to Dr Ashtinder Kaur. The ‘Patron’s Rolling trophy, Dakshin Bharat Area’ for overall best MDS student was awarded to Dr Diddge Rajasri of the 2017 batch and Dr Pasuppureddi Keerthana from 2018 batch, both from the Department of Orthodontics.
