Hyderabad: Actor Tanuj on Monday took-up the Green India Challenge (GIC) initiative, which is being promoted by TRS Rajya Sabha MP, J Santosh Kumar, by planting a sapling at GHMC park in Jubilee Hills.

The actor was all praises for the unique afforestation initiative, which is being promoted in a big way by the Rajya Sabha MP.

“Personally for me, it is an honour to get an opportunity to participate in this unique and novel initiative. I urge people of all walks of life to take part in such initiatives and plant trees in a big way. Taking part in Green India Challenge will remind everybody their own individual responsibility towards conservation of green cover in the country. I urge people to plant saplings in open areas where they reside, which will go a long way in reminding individual’s role in reducing pollution,” he said.

After planting the saplings, Tanuj nominated actor Naina Ganguly and Producers Teja Uppalapaty and Rajender Reddy to take-up the Green India Challenge.
