Hyderabad: Multiple regions in Hyderabad on Tuesday will receive showers in the form of thunderstorms, as was the case on Monday night too, when overnight showers accompanied by lightning was reported at several regions in the State capital.

The Hyderabad MET department forecast that the ongoing thunderstorms are expected to remain active in Hyderabad and districts of Telangana State until May 25. The maximum temperatures will hover around 37 degree Celsius and 39 degree Celsius.


According to the overnight rainfall data from Telangana State Development Society (TSDPS), several regions in Hyderabad received a good amount of rain between Monday night and 8 am on Tuesday.

Some of the regions in Hyderabad that witnessed chief amounts of rainfall (in mm) between Monday night and early hours of Tuesday include Old Sultan Nagar community hall in Balanagar (30.5), Kukatpally Basthi Dawakhana (27.5), Ward office Allapur in Kukatpally (26.5), Urban health centre at Hafeezpet in Serilingampally (21.8), Yousufguda zonal commissioner office area (18.5 mm), ESS Gajularamaram Quthbullapur mandal and Pillidarga ward office on Borabanda (17.5), Moosapet area (15.5 mm) and Rahmathnagar old ward office, Khairatabad (10.8).
