Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Sunday served over 65,000 free meals to the needy. The meals served on Sunday included 18,780 meals at 136 permanent Annapurna canteens, 15,480 meals at 112 temporary Annapurna centres and 31,010 packed meals sent to the needy. The hot and hygienic meals were served to daily wage workers, hawkers and people living in shelter homes.
