Hyderabad: The LB Nagar zone police on Tuesday, organised an awareness programme with the principals of colleges and educational institutions, to eradicate drug menace.
LB Nagar Zone DCP Sunpreeth Singh said the programme was aimed at making youngsters aware of the ill-effects of marijuana and other drugs. Around 500 representatives from various educational institutions participated and expressed the views to curb the drug menace.
It was also decided to form ‘Anti-Drug Clubs’ in educational institutions by involving students, teachers, officers from the educational institutions and the police. The managements of institutions assured in spreading awareness in their campuses against drugs.
Senior police officials, Excise Department and others were present.
