Hyderabad: ASCI conducts e-training programme
The e-training programme was aimed at helping the participants on how to reduce risks and build resilience of the disaster-risk communities, strengthen emergency preparedness in the face of global pandemics, natural hazards and climate/weather extremes
Hyderabad: Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) and Centre for Innovations in Public Systems (CIPS) conducted an e-training programme on ‘Innovations in disaster risk management for health’ from October 7 to 8. The e-training programme was aimed at helping the participants on how to reduce risks and build resilience of the disaster-risk communities, strengthen emergency preparedness in the face of global pandemics, natural hazards and climate/weather extremes.
During inauguration of the programme, Kamal Kishore, Member of National Disaster Management Authority said that focus must be on identifying and reaching out to the most vulnerable first during any disaster. Delivering the valedictory address, Pradeep Kumar Jena, Additional Chief Secretary to Government and MD at Odisha State Disaster Management Authority said that post disaster damage, loss, and needs assessment can help the governments prioritize investments and bring resilience into budgetary framework.
