Hyderabad: Several activists of the Bajrang Dal were taken into custody when they tried to storm Pragathi Bhavan here on Thursday.

The activists were on a protest alleging that the government had failed in preventing the illegal slaughter and transport of cows. Around 11.30 am, the activists came in small batches raising slogans and made a bid to enter Pragathi Bhavan. They were however prevented by the police who shifted them to the Punjagutta police station.
