Hyderabad: Balanagar man dies by suicide after argument over liquor
A 23-year-old man from Gauthamnagar, Balanagar, died by suicide after a domestic argument with his wife over liquor consumption. Police said the man took his life by hanging himself from a ceiling fan after being refused money for alcohol.
Hyderabad: A 23-year-old man died by suicide at Balanagar after his wife asked him not to consume liquor.
According to the police, the man, V Santosh, stayed at Gauthamnagar in Balanagar police station area. On Saturday night, he asked his wife for money to buy a liquor bottle. The woman refused to give money and instead scolded Santosh for consuming liquor daily and not going to work.
The man got angry and ended his life by hanging himself from the ceiling fan in the house, the police added. A case has been registered.
Woman killed by lightning in Adilabad
A 33-year-old woman was killed after being struck by lightning while working in her field at Pendalwada village in Bhoraj mandal on Sunday.
Police said Nagula Nirmala died on the spot while she was clearing wild plants in her cotton crop when the incident occurred.
