Hyderabad: Balapur Ganesh, renowned for its national-level laddu auction, this year comes with a mandap themed on a replica of the Swarnagiri Venkateswara Swamy temple, located on a hillock near Yadadri.
Kellam Niranjan Reddy, president of Balapur Ganesh Utsav Samithi, said the setting showcases detailed artistry, with artisans from Shamirpet and Dilsukhnagar working over the past month to build the temple setting. “The Jala Narayana Swamy has been built similar to the one at the original temple,” he said. Last year, the Balapur Ganesh came with the theme of Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
The auction for the Balapur laddu, weighing around 21 kg, will be held on September 6, and the committee members said they had invited Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to attend the laddu auction.
