Hyderabad: Balapur police arrest man absconding since two years after kidnapping sexually assaulting minor girl

Hyderabad: The Balanagar police on Thursday arrested a person who was absconding since last two years after allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a minor girl.
Robinson D Cornel (25), a resident of Jawaharnagar, while staying at Balanagar in April 2023 met the victim aged around 17 years and they became friends.
In the following month, he lured the girl to elope with him. Following his pressure, the girl came out from her house and went away with Robinson, who took her to Visakhapatnam where he confined her at the house of a relative.
“Robinson confined the girl to the house for two days and sexually assaulted her twice. Later, he brought her back to Hyderabad and left her in Secunderabad and fled away,” said ACP Balanagar, P Naresh Reddy.
Following a complaint made by the girl, the police registered a case against Robinson who remained absconding for two years. On Thursday, the police finally nabbed and arrested him.
