Hyderabad: The Bandlaguda police detained seven persons, including an alleged medical practitioner, and seized drugs following a raid at Crystal Township on Sunday night.
According to sources, acting on specific information, a police team conducted a raid at Crystal Township and nabbed an alleged medical practitioner, Khan, along with six others who reportedly worked as bouncers for him.
All of them were brought to the police station and detained for questioning. The police are enquiring into the source of the drugs and trying to nab the suppliers. However, the police remained tight-lipped about the developments.
Last year, the AYUSH Department raided Khan’s clinic at Jalpally and seized the facility. During the raid, it was found that he was operating without any recognised qualification and had collected thousands of rupees from people by assuring them of cures for various ailments, including cancer. He had allegedly told officials that he had learnt medical practice from his forefathers.
A few days later, Khan resumed his activities and is now reportedly moving around with six to seven bouncers.
