Hyderabad: Anurag University announced the launch of its two-year MBA in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), with KPMG in India. The university will oversee the programme’s overall design, delivery, and student assessment, with the inaugural batch commencing in August 2026. Applications will close in the first week of July.
The MBA-BFSI programme is structured with a focus on bridging the gap between classroom learning and the operational reality of the sector. The curriculum has been partly shaped by KPMG in India to mirror how the sector actually operates.
Students will have an opportunity to engage with simulated industry case studies, applied learning modules, and capstone projects spanning banking operations, financial analysis, risk and compliance, wealth management, and investment banking.
Anurag University Strategy Associate Vice President Anurag Palla said, the university along with KPMG in India, has designed a programme where students learn from people who work in the sector every day, while the university retains full ownership of the degree and its assessment.
KPMG in India Education and Skill Development Partner and National Head Narayanan Ramaswamy said the KPMG in India’s involvement with Anurag University is centered on contributing to the curriculum through the delivery of select specialised courses, bringing industry perspectives into the classroom through applied learning, simulated case scenarios, and mentoring.
