Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based Atal Incubation Centre–Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (AIC-CCMB), in collaboration with Thermo Fisher Scientific, launched a dedicated Supply Centre, aimed at strengthening research in life sciences.

The Supply Centre at CCMB annexe 2, which was inaugurated by Dr Vinay Kumar Nandicoori, Director, CCMB, offers real-time access to critical research consumables and ensures timely availability of lab essentials, ranging from reagents to consumables. This will help researchers and startups minimise procurement delays and accelerate their research.

“Sourcing specialised consumables has always been a challenge for researchers, sometimes loosing months in the process of ordering to delivering,” said Jayabharath Reddy, Director, Thermo Fisher Scientific. Dr Nandicoori said the centre will enhance the pace of ongoing and future research at CCMB and surrounding institutions.

A three-day workshop, “Cell Health Analysis,” to strengthen researchers’ skills in cell-based assays, was also inaugurated.
