Hyderabad: Hyderabad-headquartered electric vehicle startup Etrio expanded its product portfolio with the launch of two new bicycle ranges. Catering to the cargo and personal segment, the two new brands, Ashva and iSwitch offer 80 kms and 35 kms range with a single charge respectively.

An electric cycle with the power of a motorbike, iSwitch is equipped with a 250W BLDC motor offering 7-Speed Shimano Gears, 12 Magnet Pedal Assist with 38 Nm torque. This e-bicycle comes with an electric dashboard and hydraulic suspensions with a mobile holder and power bank in place.

iSwitch also has detachable battery to charge on the go, front light, and a resistance-proof high tensile MS steel body. It also features a detachable steel mudguard for off-roading and ease of travelling in hilly terrains.

The other e-bicycle, Ashva, is suited for the cargo & logistics segment. It offers performance of 80 km range with comfortable wide seats. To ensure safety, it has dual 180 mm disk brakes and auto charge cut off. Etrio’s e-bicycles are available in four different colours – black, orange, white and green.

Commenting on the announcement, Deepak MV, co-founder & CEO, Etrio said, “We are committed to change how people look at urban commute these days. Being an OEM, with an aim to provide “EVs for All”, getting into this new category was a sure choice for us.”

He added, “iSwitch is a lifestyle product with affordable pricing, designed keeping in mind the needs of individuals with features like mobile charging, long-range and easy to carry. The detachable battery makes it easy for individuals to carry their batteries and charge it in their offices/ homes. Ashva stemmed from our vision to further electrify intra-city logistics, aimed at easing the lives of delivery executives.”

Both the e-bicycles have been developed and tested at Etrio’s R&D facility in Hyderabad, India. The electric bicycle comes with a warranty period of 12 months for the battery for iSwitch and 18 months for Ashva, 15 months for motor and controller and 30 months for the frame for both the variants.
