Hyderabad: The city-based ocean information centre Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) is observing ‘Open Day’ on November 26, a press release said.
Many activities of INCOIS along with laboratories and facilities will be thrown-open for students, parents, youngsters and other visitors between 10 am and 2 pm on Friday. Senior scientists from the noted Tsunami research facility will also be available for the students and visitors to interact and share their knowledge.
To encourage active participation, INCOIS is also inviting video blog (Vlog) entries from the students to be submitted after the completion of their INCOIS visit. The guidelines for the participation are published at INCOIS website www.incois.gov.in.
The event is being organised as a preamble of India International Science Festival (IISF)-2021, which is to be held at NCPOR, Goa during 10-13 Dec. The exhibitions and Vlogs have to contain the theme of IISF 2021 i.e. ‘Celebrating Creativity in Science’ as well as the five pillars of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ including Freedom Struggle, Ideas at 75, Achievement at 75, Actions at 75 and Resolve at 75.
