Hyderabad: For Bhukya Yashwanth of Hyderabad, it is yet another milestone reached when he scaled Mt Iso, the highest peak in Manipur as part of is national mission ‘Har Shikhar Par Tiranga’ which essentially aims at hoisting the Indian National tir-colour flag on the highest peak of every Indian State.

For the record, 20-year-old Yashwanth is covering the highest peaks of the Seven Sister States in North-East India and had already successfully completed Mt. Gorichen (highest peak of Arunachal Pradesh), Betalongchhip of Thaidawr (highest peak of Tripura) and now Mt Iso (highest peak of Manipur).

“I was accompanied by the brave personnel of the Assam Rifles, 16 Battalion, including Colonel Sandeep Sharma Sir, Commanding Officer (CO), and Lieutenant Colonel Siddharth Sir, whose presence and encouragement added great strength to the mission,” Yashwanth informed ‘Telangana Today’.

“At the summit, I presented the Indian National Flag alongside the photograph of the Governor, in a moment filled with deep emotion and patriotic pride,” he said.
And he also has a message for the youth – say no to drugs and yes to life – as part of his efforts to curb drug menace.

Yashwanth recalls that he had already scaled several international summits including: Mt. Kilimanjaro (highest peak of Africa), Mt Elbrus (highest peak of Africa) and Mt Kosciuszko (highest peak of Australia).

These achievements were besides scaling Mt. Yunam (Himachal Pradesh), Mt. Kang Yatse II (Ladakh) and Mt. Everest Base Camp (Nepal side).

“Every summit is a tribute to our Tiranga and to the spirit of India. I am climbing with the goal of inspiring youth across the country to dream bigger, aim higher, and always carry their nation in their hearts.,” Yashwanth said. even while stressing that his plans include more summits in the North-East.
