Hyderabad: A one-stop portal for pet parents has been launched by a Hyderabad-based startup here on Monday. The app ”Petfolk” connects pet parents with other pet parents, pet lovers, veterinarians, pet pharmacy and ambulance, and also with pet adoptions. The complete social media application has been launched to connect the needs of pets and pet parents.
Petfolk is a location-based app and pet parents can find play mates for their pets based on location, category, breed and distance. Also, they can make friends, chat and make groups.
Petfolk founder Laxmikanth Puducherri said, “Petfolk is something, which I as a pet parent always wanted to have. I met many other pet lovers and they too wanted to have an app that connects them with other pet parents, veterinarians, pet emergency services, etc. He added that apart from being a social media platform Petfolk will be a one-stop solution for all pet needs.” Telangana IT and Industries Department Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan launched the app at T-Hub.
The app has other services such as information about pet-friendly areas, pet gardens, pet spas, hostels, boarding, walkers, groomers, clinics, etc. Pet parents can book and utilise these services as well as get supply of pet needs from a local pet shop network. Users can also upload and save healthcare records and get reminders when consultation/vaccinations are due through Petfolk.
