Hyderabad based Posidex Technologies sponsors equipment worth Rs 3 lakh for budding Hockey players in Kakinada

Posidex Technologies sponsored hockey equipment worth ₹3 lakh for 50 government school players, supporting Cocanada Coastal Sports Club’s efforts to nurture young talent through summer coaching camps and dedicated sports training

Hyderabad: It was a wonderful gesture by the City-based Posidex Technologies when it sponsored hockey sticks, turf shoes, warm-up shoes, and stockings worth Rs. 3 lakhs for 50 talented hockey players, both boys and girls, from government schools in Kakinada as part of its efforts to promote hockey in a big way.

Under the aegis of Cocanada Coastal Sports Club, earlier sports equipment worth Rs. 2 lakhs was distributed to athletes through sponsorships.

Now, with the support of Posidex, hockey sticks, balls, shoes, and stockings worth Rs. 3 lakhs have been provided to male and female players. Mr. G T Venkateshwar Rao, MD of Posidex Technologies, was the brain behind the whole idea

With the encouragement of Cocanada Coastal Sports Club founder Ravi Chandra Prasad, sponsors have extended their support to athletes emerging from Government schools.

As part of the summer coaching camp organised by Cocanada Coastal Sports Club, efforts are being made to identify and nurture talented athletes from Kakinada district who have the potential to represent the state and national teams. Required sportswear and equipment are being provided to these players with the support of the District Hockey Association and the District Sports Authority, according to hockey coach V. Raviraj.

The event was attended by District Sports Development Officer B. Srinivas Kumar, Sana Satish Foundation President Harish, Club President and Secretary Babji and Gangadhar, District Association Secretary Nambu Srinivasa Rao, SGF Secretary L. George, and physical education teachers.
