Hyderabad: That Telangana has a very high potential for tourism is known but what is little known to many is that there are many places with scenic spots and beautiful locales, within a couple of hours’ drive from Hyderabad. One such place is Siddipet, about 90 km northeast of the city.
City-based content creators Meghraj Ravindra and Ram Naresh Aretty, along with the team at MicTV, a YouTube channel, came out with a video detailing the beauty of Siddipet and in the three days since its release, the video has garnered over 11,000 views on YouTube.
“We wanted to start a series of vlogs wherein we cover the lesser known places in the country and we decided to start with Siddipet and we shot this video in March. The main camerawork was done in five days and later it was on hold because of the pandemic. We finally released the 6-minute promo on June 24,” shares Meghraj, who is also an actor and a rapper.
The video shows Meghraj and Ram Naresh hopping into a jeep and driving down to Siddipet, with Ram asking “Siddipet lo emundi” to which Meghraj replies “you’ll be surprised to see the development in Siddipet.”
The video covers various places in Siddipet, from the sprawling campus of Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticulture University to the Telangana Memorial, market area, to the scenic Komati Cheruvu and the island in the middle of the lake.
Meghraj says, “The government did a very commendable job in developing this place and we tried to reflect the same in this video.” There is also a beautiful cable bridge there in addition to the lakefront that has been done beautifully. “This place is definitely worth a visit and the credit also goes to the people who have maintained the cleanliness and the beauty of the place,” he adds.
