Hyderabad: In an effort to lend a hand in the country’s fight against the Covid, Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and the Indian Army together installed an oxygen generator plant at Military Hospital in Secunderabad.
Done as a part of their CSR initiative, this plant has a capacity of producing 960 litres a minute, equivalent to being able to fill 170-220 cylinders per day, a press release said. The plant was inaugurated on Friday at the hospital by Commodore Siddharth Mishra (Retd)CMD of BDL.
Lt Gen A Arun, GOC, Dakshin Bharat Area and Lt Gen R K Singh, GOC, Telangana and Andhra sub-area, N Srinivasulu, Finance Director at BDL were present among other officials at the occasion.
Earlier, BDL took up several initiatives to help fight the pandemic, including awareness programmes in districts of Telangana and Andhra, contributing to the construction of hospitals in Delhi and Lucknow, etc.
