Hyderabad: Hyderabad continued its impressive run in the Super League of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T20) cricket championship with a six-wicket win against Rajasthan in Pune on Sunday.

Fast bowlers India star Mohd Siraj (4-0-23-2) and captain Chama Milind (3-0-25-3), backed by left-arm spinner Tanay Thyagarajan (4-0-38-3), restricted Rajasthan to 178 for nine in 20 overs.

Mahipal Lomror (48, 35b, 1×4, 4×6), Kunal Singh Rathore (27, 16b, 3×4, 2×6) and Kamlesh Nagarkoti (29, 27b, 2×4, 1×6) were the main scorers for Rajasthan.

In reply, Hyderabad reached the target in the 18th over thanks to a fluent knock by opener Tanmay Agarwal (73, 41b, 8×4, 4×6) and a stroke-filled half century by wicketkeeper-batter Rahul Buddhi (55, 36b, 6×4, 2×6) after opener Aman Rao (14) and No.3 Pragnay Reddy (18) fell cheaply.

Tanmay and Rahul put on a match-winning partnership of 85 runs for the third wicket before both departed in quick succession.

Mickil Jaiswal (13 not out, 11b, 1×4, 1×6) ensured there were no more twists in Hyderabad’s chase.

The scores: At Pune: Rajasthan 178/9 in 20 overs (Mahipal Lomror 48, Mohd Siraj 2/23, Chama Milind 3/25, Tanay Thyagarajan 3/38) lost to Hyderabad 179/4 in 17.1 overs (Tanmay Agarwal 73, Rahul Buddhi 55).
