Hyderabad: A bike taxi rider was murdered by unknown persons at Jeedimetla on Wednesday night.
The victim Shiva Kumar Reddy (26), a native of Kadapa district, AP was staying at a house in Jeedimetla. On Thursday his body was found hanging to the ceiling with his hands tied behind and mouth gagged with a piece of cloth.
On receiving information, the police reached the house and shifted the body for post-mortem examination to Gandhi Hospital after preliminary investigation. The police registered a case of murder and started efforts to identify the killers.
The police are checking the closed circuit cameras installed in the surroundings of the house to gather clues. The mobile phone calls records are being analysed. The police had summoned a tracker dog to assist them but the exercise was of not much help.
