Hyderabad: Biker attacks constable
The incident occurred when Mohd Khaja, the alleged bike racer who was speeding on his sports bike from Tolichowki, hit a car that was in front of him near Omega Hospitals
Hyderabad: A police constable was allegedly attacked by a person in Banjara Hills on Tuesday after he apprehended the latter for bike racing and colliding with a car.
The incident occurred when Mohd Khaja, the alleged bike racer who was speeding on his sports bike from Tolichowki, hit a car that was in front of him near Omega Hospitals.
Khaja and the car driver ended up in an argument on the road. It was at this moment when constable Srikanth intervened and tried to pacify both sides.
However, Khaja allegedly started abusing Srikanth, which led to an argument between them. Following the heated argument, Khaja grabbed a liquor bottle and attacked Srikanth, causing bleeding injuries to the constable.
Srikanth was shifted to hospital and his condition is stable. Khaja was taken into custody.
The Banjara Hills police are investigating.
