Hyderabad: A businessman from the city was duped of Rs 6 lakh by cyber fraudsters on the pretext of Bitcoin trading.
The fraudsters contacted the victim over phone and asked him to invest in Bitcoin business to earn huge profits. Believing them, he transferred his Bitcoins to an ewallet.
The fraudsters told him that he made a profit of $7000 on his investment. They then blocked his bitcoins and asked him to pay more money to earn profits as it was the policy of the company. He then approached the police, after which a case was registered and investigation is on.
