Hyderabad: A protest by the Bharatiya Janata Party corporators at the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) head office near Liberty Circle turned tense on Tuesday.
The corporators, who barged into the head office were demanding that the corporation hold a GHMC General Body meeting. The corporators sat inside the head office and raised slogans.
They alleged that the authorities were turning a blind eye towards problems of the people and postponing the General Body Meeting.
As the sloganeering continued and the situation turned tense, the police stepped in and brought the situation under control.
