Hyderabad: Body of youth washed away in Afzalsagar floods recovered from Musi River

The body of Arjun (25), who was washed away in Afzalsagar floods on Sunday, was recovered from the Musi River near Choutuppal on Thursday. Rescue teams continue searching for his relative Ramu, who was also swept away.

Hyderabad: The body of one of the two men who were washed away in Afzalsagar during heavy rain on Sunday was found at Musi River, Choutuppal on Thursday.

The family members identified the body as Arjun (25) and the officials are shifting the body for post-mortem to mortuary. The body was highly decomposed.

The HYDRAA and SDRF teams had launched a search operation for the bodies of Arjun and his relative Ramu since Monday.

Arjun was trying to catch a cot that was flowing along with water, when he too slipped. His relative Ramu, who tried to save him, too got swept away with Arjun.

Meanwhile, efforts are continuing to trace the body of Ramu by the HYDRAA and SDRF.
