Hyderabad: As part of Operation Smile-VIII conducted in Cyberabad, the Madhapur zone team rescued a minor boy who was found to be engaged in child labour at a company in Chandanagar here on Friday late night.
Following a tip-off, the She Team along with District Child Protection Unit officials reached the spot and found the boy aged in his early teens working in a hazardous material handling company.
He was first counselled and further handed over to the Child Welfare Committee officials for safe custody. He will soon be handed over to his parents, officials said.
The management was counselled and warned of legal action apart from being served a notice.
