Hyderabad braces for intense thunderstorms this evening
Hyderabad is likely to experience intense thunderstorms with gusty winds this evening, according to IMD and independent trackers. A yellow alert has been issued for all city zones, with scattered moderate-to-heavy showers expected from afternoon to midnight.

Hyderabad: The trend of scattered thunderstorms across Greater Hyderabad by evening, which has been the case for the past few weeks, is expected to continue Monday.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad and independent weather trackers in their forecast for Monday indicated that intense spells of thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds are very likely to occur in Hyderabad during the later half of the day.
In its yellow alert (medium/moderate rainfall alert) issued for all the six zones of Hyderabad including Charminar, Khairatabad, Kukatpally, LB Nagar, Secunderabad and Serilingampally, the IMD-Hyderabad’s forecast said “light to moderate rain or thundershowers, at times intense spells accompanied by gusty winds very likely to occur”.
Independent weather tracker from Hyderabad, T Balaji in his early morning forecast for Monday indicated intense spells of downpour towards evening. “Dry weather till afternoon followed by one or two spells of scattered moderate-heavy rains expected in few places during afternoon to midnight,” he posted on X.
