Hyderabad: Burglars broke into the Dvimuka Anjanaiah Swamy Temple in Balapur and decamped with cash from the hundi.
The temple is opened for devotees on Tuesdays and Saturdays. After closing the temple on August 3, the caretaker opened the temple at 6 am on Saturday for cleaning and found the hundi open and the cash missing.
Committee members were alerted, who in turn called in the police. Initial investigations indicated that Rs 20,000 was stolen.
A case has been registered and investigation is on.
