Hyderabad businessman dies by suicide after alleged harassment by moneylenders
A 40-year-old businessman from Shastripuram died by suicide on Saturday night, with family members alleging he was harassed by two private moneylenders who collected Rs 9 lakh on a Rs 3 lakh loan. Mailardevpally police have registered a case and begun investigation.

Hyderabad: A businessman died by suicide allegedly due to the harassment of private money lenders at Mailardevpally in the city on Saturday night.
According to the police, the man Shaik Imran, (40) stayed with his family at Shastripuram in Mailardevpally police station area and was into an old furniture sale business. On Saturday night, he returned home from the shop and hanged himself in a room in the house.
The relatives of Imran, told the police that two persons Jahangir and Sohail, who are money lenders had given an amount Rs. 3 lakh to Imran and in return collected Rs. 9 lakh from Imran over a period of one year.
They further alleged that Sohail and Jahangir were demanding more money and harassing Imran when he failed to pay. Depressed over the developments Imran committed suicide, the family members alleged.
The Mailardevpally police registered a case and are investigating.
