Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Central Crime Station police arrested a businessman on charges of cheating a nationalised bank to the tune of Rs 95 lakh here on Monday.
The suspect, Saket Talwar (41), a resident of Banjara Hills, was caught by the Hyderabad Police at Mavi Villa, Arambol Beach in Goa and brought to the city. According to the police, Talwar along with his associates fraudulently obtained a loan of Rs 95 lakh from Canara Bank in Sultan Bazaar and diverted the money.

Police said several banks and financial institutions were cheated with fake, fabricated invoices, insurance certificates, creating fake temporary registrations and chassis numbers of cars. There are eight cases registered against him and his company so far, officials said.
Following a complaint from the Canara Bank management, the CCS police booked a case and a special team went to Goa and nabbed him.
