Hyderabad: Case booked against 14-year-old boy under POCSO Act
Bandlaguda police registered a case under the POCSO Act against a 14-year-old boy after a seven-year-old girl’s family lodged a complaint alleging inappropriate behaviour. Police said both children are minors and their identities have not been disclosed.
Hyderabad: A case was registered against a 14-year-old boy for allegedly behaving inappropriately with a seven-year-old girl in Bandlaguda on Friday.
According to the police, the boy who lives in the neighbourhood, allegedly took the girl into his house on the pretext of showing her chicks and behaved inappropriately with her.
The girl later narrated the incident to her mother, following which her family approached the police and lodged a complaint.
Based on the complaint, Bandlaguda police registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and launched an investigation. Since both the victim and the suspect are minors, their identities have not been disclosed.
