Hyderabad: Case booked against unknown man for posing as CMO OSD

A few persons had received messages through a whatsapp number and emails asking them to pay some money else face raids by different departments.

Hyderabad: Case booked against unknown man for posing as CMO OSD

Hyderabad: A case is registered against an unknown person who claimed to be an officer on special duty (OSD) in Chief Minister’s Office and threatening businessmen and demanding money.

A few persons had received messages through a whatsapp number and emails asking them to pay some money else face raids by different departments. The sender also demanded other favours. The person introduced himself as a top official working at the Telangana CMO.


One of the businessmen approached the CMO and inquired about the person. On coming to know about it, the officials of the CMO made a complaint with the cyber crime police station.

A case is registered.
