Hyderabad: Case booked on social media user for posting offensive content agaisnt CM Revanth Reddy

Earlier, a complaint was lodged by Kailash Sajjan, state secretary of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee’s social media wing alleging that one “DigtvTelugu” had posted an edited image portraying the Chief Minister in a derogatory manner on 'X' account.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad cyber crime police have booked a criminal case against a social media user for allegedly posting offensive and morphed content against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

Earlier, a complaint was lodged by Kailash Sajjan, state secretary of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee’s social media wing alleging that one “DigtvTelugu” had posted an edited image portraying the Chief Minister in a derogatory manner on ‘X’ account.


The complainant further termed the content was shared with malicious intent to defame the CM and the Congress party.

Based on the complaint, the cyber crime police registered a case under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and took up investigation.
