Hyderabad: A case has been registered at the Madhapur police station against young film actor Chandrahas, son of popular television actor Prabhakar, following a complaint by a senior journalist.
The case stems from an incident linked to the pre-release event of Chandrahas’ upcoming film ‘Barabar Premistha’, which was held recently in the city.
As per information available, during the event, the young actor allegedly sang a song on stage containing obscene and inappropriate lyrics and language.
Following this, Ashok Kumar, who works as an Executive Editor with a vernacular news channel, had released a video on his social media account, allegedly criticising the use of objectionable language and stating that such behaviour was unacceptable in public and on stage.
In response, the actor allegedly posted a video on his Instagram account threatening the journalist.
Based on Ashok Kumar’s complaint, the Madhapur police booked a case against the actor and are investigating.
