Hyderabad: Cellar blaze in TNGO Colony triggers panic, vehicles gutted
A fire broke out in an apartment cellar in Gachibowli’s TNGO Colony, likely due to a short circuit, causing heavy smoke and panic. Residents were evacuated safely, though two suffered suffocation and vehicles were destroyed.
Hyderabad: A major fire broke out in an apartment building at TNGO Colony in Gachibowli on Monday, triggering panic among residents.No casualties were reported but two persons reportedly fell ill due to suffocation.
Police suspect that the blaze originated in the cellar due to an electrical short circuit. According to information available, thick smoke quickly spread throughout the building, making it difficult for residents to breathe.
Fire department and local police personnel rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations, safely evacuating residents who were trapped on the upper floors. Around 15 two-wheelers parked in the cellar were completely gutted in the incident.
The fire was later brought under control, and authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the mishap.
