Hyderabad: A first-year student of University of Hyderabad (UoH) died by suicide by jumping into a pond in the campus on Sunday night.

On Sunday night, following some issue with other students over the disappearance of four laptops from the hostel, Mayank reportedly went and jumped into the campus pond.
In a letter purportedly written by Mayank and found in his room, he stated that he was in no way involved in the theft of laptops in the hostel rooms. He also apologised to his mother for ending his life and urged her to stay strong.
