Hyderabad Central University student dies by suicide on campus
A first-year MA Economics student at University of Hyderabad died by suicide after allegedly jumping into a campus pond following an issue linked to a missing laptop. Police recovered the body and have registered a case; investigation is underway.

Hyderabad: A first-year student of Hyderabad Central University died by suicide by jumping into a pond on the campus on Monday.
According to the reports, the student Mayank Kundu, pursuing his first year in MA Economics course, was a native of West Bengal and stayed on campus.
On Monday afternoon, following some issue with the student over disappearance of a laptop from the room, Mayank went and jumped into the pond on the campus. The security guards who noticed it alerted the Gachibowli police, who reached the spot and later retrieved the body. The body is shifted to Osmania Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination. A case is registered.
