Hyderabad: Centring frame collapses at construction site injuring several workers
As per local sources, the incident happened while a group of workers was setting up the centering frame for a slab, which suddenly collapsed. The workers fell to the ground and became trapped. Nearby residents and fellow workers quickly came to their aid and, after considerable effort, managed to rescue them.
Hyderabad: Nearly half a dozen construction workers were injured when a centring frame being erected for laying a slab at an under construction building collapsed at Bandlaguda Jagir, Rajendranagar on Thursday. No casualties were reported so far in the incident.
According to the local sources, the incident occurred when a group of workers were putting up the centring frame for slab when it caved in. The workers fell on the floor and got trapped. The local people and other workers rushed to the rescue and after much effort pulled them out. The injured persons are shifted to hospital for treatment.
The police reached the spot along with the DRF teams. The local Bandlaguda Jagir municipal authorities have visited the spot.
