Hyderabad coach Shilpa Waghray mentors India to Junior Roll Ball World Cup win
Shilpa Waghray of Hyderabad served as the coach of team India, while Sresanth, a talented young athlete, delivered a stellar performance to help the team clinch the championship title
Hyderabad: India won the gold in the inaugural Junior Roll Ball World Cup at the Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani (Nairobi, Kenya).
Representing India on the global stage, Shilpa Waghray of Hyderabad served as the coach of Team India, while Sresanth, a talented young athlete, delivered a stellar performance to help the team clinch the championship title.
On this remarkable achievement, President of Telangana Olympic Association, Shri S.R. Prem Raj, along with members of the Roll Ball Association and Coaches from the Sports Authority of Telangana, Nirmal Singh and Jitender Gupta congratulated the champions
Prem Raj emphasised the importance of encouraging and promoting emerging sports like Roll Ball across Telangana and India.
“The success at the international level is a testament to the dedication of our young athletes and the support of the sporting community. Parents and sports enthusiasts are requested to support and promote the sport by sharing this news and encouraging youth participation,” he said.
