Hyderabad Collector warns officials for skipping Prajavani, calls for accountability

Hyderabad: Hyderabad District Collector Harichandana Dasari on Monday issued a stern warning to officials who failed to attend the Prajavani grievance redressal programme. She said show-cause notices would be issued to those who continue to remain absent.

Emphasizing the importance of the initiative, the Collector said that the presence of officials ensures accountability in addressing grievances submitted by the general public.

After receiving petitions from citizens, the Collector interacted with officials and directed that all grievances submitted on Monday be resolved within a week.

As part of the implementation of the ban on single-use plastic from Monday, officials replaced plastic bottles with steel ones. The Collector also advised all government departments to adopt similar practices and ensure 100 percent compliance with the single-use plastic ban.
