Hyderabad college student suffers injuries in suspected suicide attempt

An intermediate second-year student, Rithika, sustained serious injuries after reportedly jumping from the third floor of a private college building in Rajendranagar. She was rushed to hospital, and police are investigating the reasons behind the incident.

Hyderabad: An intermediate second-year girl student suffered serious injuries after reportedly jumping from the building of a college at Rajendranagar on Thursday.

The girl, Rithika, pursuing an intermediate second year course, from a private college at Rajendranagar on Thursday, went to the third floor of the college building and jumped from there.


The college watchman who noticed the girl profusely bleeding immediately shifted her to hospital.

The police reached the college and conducted inquiries; however, nothing conclusive has come out so far. The police are trying to ascertain the reasons that forced the girl to take such an extreme step.
