Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Detective Department sleuths arrested a fraudster who was involved in a cheating case. The arrested person Syed Shahed, along with his associate P Shekar Goud, had duped a person of Rs 1.10 crore on the pretext of sale of plot measuring 1,500 square yards at Banjara Hills.

“Both the persons prepared forged documents pertaining to the plot and approached a businessman saying it belonged to them and agreed to sell it for Rs 11 crores. They collected Rs 1.10 crore from him towards advance amount of the deal and cheated him,” said ACP WCO team B Srinivasa Rao.

On a complaint, the Central Crime Station sleuths had booked a case and arrested Shekar Goud last month. Shahed, who was absconding, was arrested on Saturday night.
