Hyderabad: A police constable died, allegedly by suicide, in his house at Reddy Basthi in Shivrampally here on Monday morning. He is suspected to have been depressed over a family dispute and hanged himself to death, police said.
The constable, B.Vasu (32), posted at the Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy, was married about 15 months ago. According to the police, Vasu was visibly depressed for the last few days reportedly over frequent fights with his wife.
Police suspect he was also addicted to alcohol adding that his family members informed that the couple had frequent fights over various issues. The Rajendranagar police have booked a case and shifted the body to the Osmania General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
