Hyderabad: Cop dies in road accident in Malakpet

Hyderabad: A police constable died in a road accident at Malakpet on Saturday morning.
G Praneeth Kumar (27) working at Mahankali police station in the city was going on his Honda Activa scooty to meet his friend at Moosarambagh in Malakpet when his vehicle was hit by a scooter.
“Praneeth fell on the road from his scooty and sustained severe injuries. Death was instant from him,” said K V Subba Rao, SHO Malakpet police station.
On information the Malakpet police reached the spot and shifted the body for postmortem examination to Osmania General Hospital mortuary. A case is registered against Murali Manohar, who was driving the scooter and he was arrested.
