Hyderabad: Cop dies of cardiac arrest during a raid in Jeedimetla

Praveen Kumar, a 38-year-old officer from Cyberabad’s Special Operations Team, died of suspected cardiac arrest during a raid to catch drug peddlers in Jeedimetla. He collapsed at the scene and was declared dead at the hospital

HYDERABAD: A policeman died reportedly due to cardiac arrest during a raid at a house in Jeedimetla in the city outskirts on Saturday night.

According to reports, the policeman Praveen Kumar (38) working with Cyberabad Special Operations Team (Balanagar) along with his colleagues as part of an operation to nab drug peddlers went to a house at Jeedimetla.


At the place, he developed chest pain and collapsed. The other policemen who were along with him noticed it and rushed Praveen to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

The body is shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.
